SolarTech Solutions
Delhi NCR's independent house specialist. 180+ kothi and bungalow installations. Amit's team understands Delhi rooftops -- including the BSES and Tata Power Delhi paperwork maze.
Built for Delhi's independent homes and kothis.
Delhi solar is not Mumbai solar. The homes are different -- independent kothis, bungalows, and terraces with more space but more shading complexity from trees and neighboring structures. The electricity dynamics are different too: free power for the first 200 units under the Delhi government subsidy, three different DISCOMs (BSES Rajdhani, BSES Yamuna, and Tata Power Delhi), and an additional Rs 30,000 state subsidy for 3 kW systems on top of PM Surya Ghar.
SolarTech Solutions has navigated all of this 180+ times.
Amit Verma started SolarTech as an Aerem partner in 2020. His team of 14 specializes in independent houses and kothis across South Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, and Faridabad. They are the team that shows up at your roof survey and identifies afternoon shading from your neighbor's water tank -- before it becomes a problem.
- Independent houses and kothi rooftops (200-800 sq ft)
- BSES Rajdhani, BSES Yamuna, and Tata Power Delhi net metering
- Delhi state subsidy coordination (additional Rs 30,000)
- 2 kW to 8 kW residential systems
What Delhi NCR homeowners say.
"As a doctor, I had zero time to deal with paperwork. SolarTech handled everything -- PM Surya Ghar registration, BSES application, net meter coordination. Our 3 kW system was commissioned in about 75 days. Monthly savings of Rs 2,100. The Rs 78,000 subsidy came through in 3 months."
"Amit's team installed our 5 kW system on a very hot May weekend. Good quality panels, clean wiring. One minor issue -- the monitoring app took a week to configure properly. Once it was set up, I could see real-time generation. Saving about Rs 3,500 a month now."
"My husband was skeptical about solar. He kept saying 'it won't work in Delhi winters.' Well, even in December our 3 kW system generated 10-11 units daily. That is Rs 1,800 saved in the lowest-generation month. SolarTech showed us the numbers upfront, and they matched reality."
Solar in Delhi: the economics, honestly.
Delhi electricity tariffs are lower than Mumbai's -- effective rates of Rs 5.00-6.50 per unit. Monthly savings on a 3 kW system: Rs 1,900-2,400, compared to Rs 3,200-4,200 in Mumbai.
But Delhi has two advantages that offset this:
First, solar irradiance is excellent -- Delhi generates 4,500 kWh annually from a 3 kW system (more than Mumbai's 4,200).
Second, the combined subsidy is exceptional. Delhi adds Rs 30,000 on top of PM Surya Ghar's Rs 78,000, bringing the total to Rs 1,08,000. Your net cost for a 3 kW system in Delhi: Rs 72,000 -- the lowest in India.
At Rs 72,000 net cost and Rs 1,900-2,400 monthly savings, payback is 2.5-3.2 years.
SolarTech handles all three DISCOMs (BSES Rajdhani, BSES Yamuna, Tata Power Delhi) and the state subsidy paperwork.
